Assam tea trees from India were introduced to Taiwan in 1925. Over decades’ of endeavours, the Assam tea trees have adapted into the unique climate of Central Taiwan and improved in many ways. The local breed has developed its own characters with a more delicate taste and elegant aroma; not as brisk as the Indian Assam but carries a hint of dark roast oolong. Best brewing temperature ranging from 203 to 212 celsius. The brewed tea appears in a bright, lustrous red colour.
